1st 6 weeks- Measurement and data: Mean, Median, Mode, Range, Box plots, 5 number summary, Box and whisker plots
2nd 6 weeks- Numbers and Operations: Integer operations, ratios and rates, percents
3rd 6 weeks-Proportionality: Algebraic reasoning, equations, and inequalities
4th 6 weeks- Expressions and linear Relationships: Algebraic relationships with 2 variables, angles of triangles, area
5th 6 weeks- Equations and Relationships: volume, data analysis, 6th 6 weeks- financial literacy: checks, savings account, budget, debit, credit
6th 6 weeks-preparation for 7th grade math and 7th grade pre-ap math
About Me
Who I am and how I became Mrs. Weller Pereira
I grew up in Katy, Texas. I went to school there, made friends there, and, my whole life is there. I went to Morton Ranch and Katy High School, but graduated from Katy. I used to do dance, choir, and other clubs such as FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America). I majored in Interdisciplinary studies with a minor in 4-8th grade math at Sam Houston State University. Eat'em up Kats! I have known I wanted to be a teacher since I was in the first grade. I used to get bullied and saw others experience it and I vowed to never let that happen when I became a teacher. I wanted to put an end to bullying. School should always be a safe and fun environment and I was going to do just that. When I'm not teaching I like spending time with my family, watching t.v, and playing board games. I love pandas, the color pink, and Disney. My goal is to have every one of my students leaving my classroom with positive learning experiences they will never forget. So lets make this school year awesome together!
